In the first session of ITU TOMER talks, ITU Computer Faculty Retired Faculty member dear Prof. Eşref Adalı was our guest on 29th of April, 2024.
"Natural Language Processing Workshop" was held in Ankara on 25-26 April 2024 between the Turkish Language Association and Istanbul Technical University Natural Language Processing Group and the Turkish Language Association to share information in the field of natural language processing and to discuss possible technological expansions for the needs of the Turkish Language Association.
As ITU TOMER, we celebrated the upcoming Eid al-Fitr with great enthusiasm and joy together with our students. In this special event, we conducted a series of activities that highlighted the creativity of our students and our cultural diversity.
During the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan, we experience the joy of being together with our students from different cultural backgrounds. Feeling the spiritual unity brought by Ramadan, we relish gathering around a multicultural table. Each of our students meticulously prepared dishes representing the unique flavors of their countries, adorning our Ramadan table with diversity and richness.
ITU TÖMER continues to teach Turkish and Turkish culture by experiencing it. The trip we organized to "Karaköy" on Thursday, February 29, with the participation of our students from A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels was very entertaining and instructive.
On Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 18:00, Turkish language certification exam for B1 and C1 levels will be held. The last date to apply is Monday, January 15, 2024.
As 2024 approaches, the excitement of the New Year envelops us all. At ITU TÖMER, we have come together with our international students to share our new dreams, goals, and wishes.
As ITU TÖMER research team, we attended the 5th Student Symposium on Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language hosted by Gazi University on 4 - 5 December 2023.
